About Me

Naomi is a 21-year-old Creative Media student in their final year at DKIT. A passionate storyteller at heart, they channel their creativity into multiple disciplines, including video editing, creative writing, web design, and graphic design. Their work is often inspired by their emotions, with each piece reflecting the mood and energy of its creation.

Their digital artwork is characterized by a contemporary minimalist aesthetic, combining clean design with deeper, thought-provoking narratives. Whether crafting a visually striking video, penning a captivating story, or developing a sleek, user-friendly website, they strive to connect with their audience on a meaningful level.

An avid reader, writer, and designer, they are deeply influenced by the world around them, constantly seeking inspiration in both the ordinary and the extraordinary. For them, art is not just about creating but about expressing and sharing a unique perspective that resonates with others.

My Work

This GIF depicts a lone man sitting in the dark, gazing out a window at a gloomy ocean. The setting is calm and motionless, with muted, grey hues that evoke a sense of melancholy and isolation. The words "reality is..." appear on the screen, but then they jerk and fragment into the new word "fractured."

The GIF symbolises loneliness and how despair may alter our perception of the world. The shades of grey illustrate how, to someone who is struggling, life can seem meaningless and empty. The glitch effect represents the fracturing or ambiguity of thoughts and emotions.

The ocean outside the window is big and endless, but instead of feeling free, it looks cold and distant. This reflects how depression can make even open spaces feel closed off and unwelcoming.

The GIF's primary focus is the transition from "reality is" to "fractured." It demonstrates how depression may distort or fracture reality itself. The glitch links the man's internal loneliness to the bleak external environment.

This GIF was created to show how depression can feel, both quiet and overwhelming at the same time. It’s meant to help others understand what it’s like to feel alone and disconnected. Hopefully, it starts conversations about mental health and helps people feel less alone in their struggles.
